“Norman” is a 1939 15 ½’ Chris-Craft Sportsman owned by new members Randy and Abbie Yount. She is powered by a 60 HP Model “B”. Norman was Randy’s grandfather who purchased the boat in the early 80’s to fish with. Randy was given the boat in 1987 after Norman passed away, agreeing to restore in, no mater how long it would take. The restoration was completed by Gordon Niemi of Classic Power Boats Northwest. |
| Making her debut at this year’s show, “Loon” is a 1940 Chris-Craft
17’ Deluxe Barrel back owned by Tom and Betsy Murphy who recently moved
from Southern California to Whidbey Island. Tom completed this beautiful frame-up
restoration the day before our show! Loon is very correct with the unusual orange
boot stripe and deck caulking and the speckled banjo wheel. She is powered by
a triple carb 120 hp KB. Pictures don’t do justice to Tom’s workmanship……..she must be seen to be appreciated! |

| “Woodwind” is a 19 foot 1959 Chris-Craft Continental owed by Doug and Sharla Reid of Shoreline. She was built at the Cadillac, Michigan plant and shipped by rail to Bryant’s Marina in Seattle. Doug, along with his family and friends, has spent many hours restoring the boat over the past four years. The restoration is about 75% complete. Keep going Doug! | ![]() |
| “At Last” is a 1941-42 30foot Chris-Craft Sedan Cruiser owned by Doug and Cathy Cooper. She is powered by the original Hercules straight 6. The Coopers bought her at auction in 1999 for $2000. She had been abandoned for so long that the engine was completely frozen. As you can probably tell, a huge amount of work has gone into this beautiful, appropriately named, restoration. | ![]() |

“Sunday Girl” is Dave Berg’s latest project. She is a 19 ½ foot Celebrity Class sailboat built in Holland in 1947. Dave and Nancy’s daughter, Ava, is the actual owner and assisted Dave throughout the restoration. Dave originally wanted to haul the boat to the dump, but Ava convinced him otherwise! According to Dave, “Sunday Girl” is basically a new boat with the exception of the hull sides. For example, seventy-two 1” strips were laid in the bottom; each one taking 1 ½ hours! |
